Serrated tussock spraying at Piambong

As part of our “Reducing the Impact of Serrated Tussock in the Piambong area” project we have engaged a contractor to do some chemical control of established serrated tussock plants.

Landholders taking part in the project have been assisted by a local grazier/botanist to measure density and spread of tussock on their properties, along with the ‘good guys’ i.e. desirable species that provide good competition against tussock seedlings.

These landholders now have the opportunity for spraying contractor assistance to reduce the number of adult plants seeding on their properties.

Other landholders interested in making use of the contractor whilst he is in the area can contact Thea on 0417 074 673.

Landholders not taking part in our project will need to pay for the contractor.

This project has been made possible through the Central West CMA’s Reducing the Impact of Weeds of National Significance program.
