School Garden Classroom

014.JPG

The Mid-Western Regional Council School Garden Classroom Program commenced in 2009 at Mudgee Public School. Following a successful pilot year, the program has continued, venturing to Goolma Public School in 2010, and onto Hargraves Public School in 2011.

This years successful applicant to the program is Kandos Public School!

The program supports the cost of:

  • technical support to build and establish veggie garden beds
  • school garden classroom sessions - that go through the 'how to' from seed to harvest
  • materials, soil and tools to do the job!

The year finishes up with a couple of cooking sessions (which are the best part) to enjoy some of the delicious produce grown.
