Green Day 2012
6 September 2012 - Celebrating "The Year of the Sustainable Farmer"
Another fantastic Green Day is going to be held on Thursday 6 September 2012. This year's theme is "The Year of the Sustainable Farmer" and we are hoping to have our past as well as some new presenters on board from our region. We are securing a very special guest presenter and as soon as this is finalised we will be letting you know. Looking forward to seeing students from around the region soon.
Green Day 2011 - Celebrating "Trees in our Habitat - Habitats in our Trees"
Another fantastic Green Day has been and gone with a huge day of fun and learning for Year 5 and 6 students from 18 schools around the region.
This year’s special presentation was “Going Green with Dr Deane” an entertaining show about aspects of the Earth and sustainability.
Information on Dr Deane can be found here:

Aside from looking at the importance of trees to humans and other living organisms, there was a range of activities about no-dig gardens, composting, recycling and bringing back native fish, to name but a few. There was even a Platypus walking around!
Thanks to our Sponsors who have come on board again for 2011. Without their support Green Day would not be possible.
