Healthy bodies, healthy relationships

Nutrition or lack thereof has been linked to a range of modern diseases, from depression to bowel cancer. Dr. Carole Hungerford, general practitioner and celebrated author of “Good Health in the 21st Century”, champions a nutrition-based approach to wellness. Carole Hungerford works in medical practices in Balmain and Bathurst and delivers medical lectures and assists in the training of new doctors.

Published in 2006, Good Health in the 21st Century won the 2006 Brisbane Writers Festival award for Science Writing. She has since appeared regularly in several radio broadcasts, including a continuing presence on 4BC Brisbane.

Watershed Landcare is proud to host a unique, inspiring evening for the women of our district with Dr Carole Hungerford - a provocative and entertaining speaker who will enthral you with a refreshingly different way to maintain wellbeing, connecting the health of our soil to the food we eat.

Lyn Sykes, a communications specialist will be sharing thought provoking insights on enhancing the leadership skills of people, especially in the most critical area of all, communication. Lyn is passionate about seeing groups of people work productively together.

The “Women in the Landscape – Healthy Bodies, Healthy Relationships” forum will take place at Prince Hill Wines (Sydney Rd, Mudgee) on Wednesday 16th December from 6.00pm-9.30pm.

Dinner will be created and presented by Rachael McCarthy renowned for her fresh, wholesome foods and beautiful flavours.

Cost is $20 for Watershed Landcare members, $30 for non-members (includes Watershed Landcare membership)
